The authors also show how to easily incorporate quinoa into your current favorites to add substance and wholesome benefits without standing out or sacrificing taste. With recipes for every meal, Quinoa Cuisine offers a wide range of mouthwatering dishes including salads, soups, casseroles, entrees and even desserts like a decadent Triple-Chocolate Bundt Cake and Poached Pears with Spiced Quinoa.

Since my youngest son requires a gluten-free diet, I am always interested in learning about foods that I can make for him that are gluten-free. I’ve heard of quinoa for a while now but have never cooked with it. Why? I wasn’t exactly sure how to use it and incorporate it into foods he would like. Now thanks to this cookbook I have a direction to go in. Recipes in this book seem easy to understand. Each recipe contains one or more icons, depicting 30 minutes or less, Freezes well, Gluten-free, Good for company, Healthy choice, Kid friendly, Vegan, and Vegetarian. The icons are great, but I wish that some of the recipes, specifically the gluten-free dishes, were in a chapter of their own so they’d be easier to find then going through every recipe. Word of warning, this book contains no photos, something I really wish it had since it involves working with a grain I have never worked with before and I like to know what things are supposed to look like. The appearance of a dish in a cookbook is also something that helps me decide what dish to try, along with cooking and prep time which are also missing. This cookbook would be good for anyone interested in learning how to incorporate a superfood into their diet, trying to eat healthier, and those looking for gluten-free recipes.
