I tried this recipie as posted, but it was soft and runny. Is that how it is? I am rather new to the kitchen and instant pot so please do not laugh at me but give me advice? It did taste awesome!

Thanks for trying it! Dump cakes are a bit different. while it is a slightly “messy” dessert it shouldn’t be runny. Is it possible you used less than half of the cake mix? That has happened to me if I didn’t watch when I measured.

Dumb question but do I use dry cake mix or prepared like normal?

Hi. Thanks for stopping by. Dry cake mix, don’t prepare the cake mix according to the instructions on the box because you need it dry.
