When I first brought Dobby home in January he was a tiny four pounds. He never went far from me during the first week or two. The first day i didn’t even have a leash, since it had been after 11 pm when I brought him home. Then we were having to potty so often and in such a hurry to avoid accidents that I’d literally pick him up and run him outside. That stopped at about two weeks. That’s when Dobby got brave enough to start to show an interest in wandering, and headed for the street. One incident of heading for the street was enough for me. I didn’t want him hurt or lost so I knew that from that point forward when in the front he’d have to be on a leash.

I received the opportunity to try a retractable leash from iLeesh. They carry a number of different breeds. The leash itself is made of a a high intensity soft nylon belt material that is designed to avoid burns or cuts. The leash has a chromium plated latch hook to attach to your dog’s collar. The part that the leash is houses in is made of a durable impact plastic. It has a soft grip handle and waterproof reflective sticker of the breed. The leash is really easy to use. It has a one hand braking and locking system, which means that you can control whether or not the leash can extend with just the push of your thumb. Some of the leashes Leashes come in different colors including black, turqoise and pink. They are also available in two different belt sizes – medium which is 15ft long and is designed to hold a dog of up to 44lb/20kg, and large which is 9ft long and is designed to hold a dog of up to 100lb/45kg.

The iLeesh is great because it gives you and your dog freedom, because you can control how much lead and slack there is when you’re walking. Shorten with the push of a button and it helps keep your pet safe in traffic. Let the leash out to give your pet room to roam while safely attached. The handle is very comfortable to hold.
