When we have freshly baked treats we almost always have them with coffee. There’s just something about coffee and baked things that go well together. Buddy Valasco, a fellow New Jerseyan, knows his cakes and baked goods. You may know him by his other name – Cake Boss. Recently a line of single serving coffee cups compatible with Keurig machines was added to the Cake Boss gourmet product line.

We received samples of the Chocolate Cannoli, Chocolate Fudge Cake and the Dulce de Leche. They’re super easy to make and work in the Keurig like any other k-cup. I found the brews to be in between mild and medium strength, which is fine with me as super duper strong coffee is just not my preference. The Chocolate Cannoli combines the taste of creamy custard, chocolate drizzle and hints of buttery pastry. It has wonderful aroma when you’re brewing it, and the combination of flavors is quite pleasant. This turned out to be our favorite. The Chocolate Fudge Cake is all about chocolate – you can smell it and taste it immediately. It tastes a tad stronger then the Chocolate Cannoli. The Dulche de Leche features the sweet flavor of caramel. It’s my second favorite. It’s tasty and on the mellow side, I found it to be a tad weaker then the Chocolate Cannoli.
The Cake Boss coffees remind me of something you’d find in a bakery or coffeehouse. They’re not your typical coffee flavors. If you’re like me and like to have a variety of flavored coffees on hand, or if you like to entertain, then Cake Boss coffees are something you would want to look into.

Hi Alissa. Great question. I haven't had them in a while and they don't appear to be quite as widely available for me to check. At the time that I first tried these my youngest was nowhere near an age to drink coffee so I didn't check, as he's the only one gluten-free here From what I'm seeing, the label says natural and artificial ingredients and does not state gluten-free. So in the end, I don't know for sure. I'm sorry I don't have a more definitive answer.

fresh ground from the beans as the pot is made then flavored with cocoa or cimmamon if not dairy creamer.

Although I haven't heard of this brand, it's available in K-cups and that's a super good thing!! I think this would be best in the afternoon for a little pick me up!!
