Zee Clouds – The Shoe Your Teen Will Fight You For!
Yesterday, I opened a package with a pair of Zee Clouds sneakers for me to review. I had asked my 15 year old daughter if she wanted to choose a pair when the opportunity came for me to review a pair. She looked at the photos of them quickly and decided they “weren’t for teenagers.” In fact, her statement was more along the lines of, “they really look more like ‘Mom’ shoes.” Ok, no problem! I chose a pair in my favorite color, pink.
So, when I open my package, I immediately squeezed the insole. It is made of memory foam and I actually exclaimed out loud how amazing these shoes felt, before I even tried them on! I put one shoe on and OH.MY.GOODNESS! My daughter, Katja, must have seen the look of bliss on my face, because she grabbed the other shoe and tried it on. “Mom! These are so comfortable! They’re amazing!” she told me, and then proceeded to try to convince me that these shoes were really not “Mom” shoes after all, they were actually more for teenagers! She pleaded with me to be able to keep them, saying how they would be great shoes for her to wear next week at camp and how they would be perfect for school in the fall! I love my daughter and would give her anything she needs…except these shoes!
They are not called, “Zee Clouds” for nothing. These slip on sneakers are extremely comfortable. They have a woven top that stretches as you move and one of the best soles I have ever worn! I have had major foot surgery on both feet, including bone grafting. I can’t wear most shoes due to the pain they cause me. The last pair of sneakers I bought cost me over $150 and were made for people with foot pain. Those expensive sneakers actually hurt my feet and cause my toes to go numb. My new Zee Clouds (yes, they are mine, not my daughter’s!) do not cause me any foot pain! I wore them all day long at work today. As a Nursing Instructor I am on my feet for many hours at a time. I am happy to report that my feet felt comfortable all day!
My daughter and I went to the Zee Alexis website where these shoes are sold. We loved the many options of colors and styles offered there. We are not fighting over the shoes anymore, I am happy to report. We have a plan: buy another pair in another color and share both pairs! The problem is, which ones should we choose? Why don’t you check them out and see which shoes you like best?
