The Vampire Diaries The Complete Sixth season is coming to Blu-ray + Digital HD on September 1, 2015. This television series appears on the CW as a one hour supernatural drama. In January 2015, the CW renewed their contract with The Vampire Diaries for Season 7.

Most of the episodes during season six were named after songs that released in 1993 and 2003. Season six aired October 2, 2014. There were 22 episodes in this season which are all included within these 4 discs. Also included in this sixth season ‘box set’ are 2 all-new featurettes:

Synopsis of the Sixth Season:

The Vampire Diaries carries on for a sixth season with an appetizing drama that you can sink your teeth into. If you remember last season after an intense summer with Damon, Elena headed to Whitmore College with Caroline, not knowing Bonnie gave up her life for Jeremy’s.

At the same time Stefan and Caroline’s friendship deepened as they stood up to the Travelers, which as you might know, is a nomadic witch tribe driven to strip Mystic Falls of magic and cast out its supernatural residents.

In the surprising season finale, Damon, scared he would lose his loved ones on the crumbling Other Side, made a huge sacrifice to bring them all back – with devastating and heart wrenching results.

Season six follows the characters’ journey back to each other as they explore the contrast of good versus evil within themselves.

Michael Malarkey joins the cast as Enzo, an old vampire friend from Damon’s past, and Matt Davis reprises his role as Alaric Saltzman, recently returned from The Other Side.
