Have you tried dalgona yet? If you haven’t, by now you have probably at least seen pictures of it on social media. Dalgona is a whipped coffee beverage that looks like it comes right out of a fancy coffee shop or restaurant. You can actually make this beverage right at home.

The trick to making dalgona is making the foam. You can use an immersion blender or a hand mixer to create the dalgona’s foam, if you find that easier or more preferable than whisking by hand. If you’re going to be serving the beverage to a group of people or refrigerating the creamy foam then this will definitely save you some time and energy. I have had this hand blender for a couple of years now and love it, it’s helpful for recipes like this one because it includes a whisk.

Here’s how to make it.

Equipment Needed

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp of instant coffee
  • 2 tbsp sugar 
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • International Delight Southern Butter Pecan Creamer
  • milk of choice
  • ice cubes
  • pecans

Instructions

Place the instant coffee, sugar, and hot water into a mixing bowl, very large measuring cup or pitcher.

Whisk the instant coffee, sugar, and hot water together until peaks are formed. You can do this using a hand whisk, or a hand mixer or stand mixer. if that’s what you have.

Fill a glass with ice cubes and top with desired amount of Southern Butter Pecan Cream. If you prefer a subtler flavor in your coffee use a teaspoon of the creamer, if you prefer a stronger flavor you might want to use about an ounce of the creamer.

Top the rest of your cup with your milk of choice.

Put one to three spoonfuls of the whipped coffee mixture on top.

Crush some pecans and sprinkle them on top of the whipped coffee.

Serve immediately.
