I was introduced to Sebamed about 17 years ago, when I visited my sister in Germany. She gave me a bottle of the baby bath to use on my 5 month old while I was there. I loved the way it gently cleansed my baby’s sensitive skin and made it soft and fragrant.
Fast forward 17 years and I found out that you can buy it in the U.S.! I actually did a review on the baby bath and lotion over a year ago when my daughter was expecting her first baby. Now baby #2 is due around Valentines day and I was thrilled to have the chance to review Sebamed again!
This time I chose the children’s shampoo and the every day shampoo for adults. All the Sebamed products have a pH that is the same as healthy skin and are developed by Dermatologists.
Paraben-Free Everyday Shampoo

We ordered the 1 liter size. It comes with a pump and will last us a long time. This is a great shampoo for everyone in the house. It doesn’t smell girly, so the men like it and it smells fresh and clean, so the girls are happy, too! It makes our hair feel very soft and clean. The one liter size retails for $45.99 and can be purchased on the Sebamed website.
Children’s Shampoo
The Children’s shampoo has the same properties as the adult shampoo. It is free from anything harsh and has a natural 5.5 pH, the same as healthy skin. It is soap free, cleanses gently and hydrates skin and scalp. It has herbal extracts of fennel, yarrow, melissa, mistletoe and camomile. It is never irritating to the skin and smells heavenly! I must confess, I have used it myself, it smells so good! We have used it on my grand daughter, Beatrice, and her hair looks healthy and clean!
The 250 ml size that we got retails for $13.49. It can also be purchased on the website.
You can even enroll in a subscription, to save money and have regular shipments sent to you! This is the brand I am choosing for my family because I know it is pure and healthy!
