REVIEW – Tumaro’s Gourmet Tortillas

RB loves wraps and tortillas. He prefers them over bread any day of the week. Since surgery I find that I can tolerate a bite of a wrap a bit more easily than bread most of the time so I’ve been eating more of them too. This summer we tried a new brand, Tumaro’s Tortillas.

Just heat them a little.

Then stuff them, fold them and eat them.

We enjoyed the taste of Tumaro’s. We really want to try the Salsa variety but our store hasn’t had it in stock when I went shopping. (I’m guessing it’s popular!) The tortillas  have quite an astounding shelf life – 9 month frozen and 45 days refrigerated. I liked that they came in a resealable bag, since we didn’t eat them all in one sitting. They are available in Multi-Grain, Green Onion, Garden Vegetable and Salsa flavors. Each Low Carb tortilla contains only 3 to 5 grams of net carbs. Tumaro’s natural tortillas are made from whole wheat flour, are naturally flavored, contain no trans fats, and are 94% fat free. You can use these tortillas for just about anything you would use bread for.

Tumaro’s Low Carb Tortillas have a suggested retail price of $3.19 for a package of six. They are available in grocery stores nationwide. Tumaro’s site has a store locator on it, so you can find the store nearest you that carries them.
