I received a Pottery Barn Kids Baby Sea Turtle costume, size 6-12 months, for review. Upon opening the costume, I was pleased to find that it looked very much like the photo on the website. Often I find that photos on costume websites do not accurately represent the quality of the costume. This costume’s colors, shape, and overall quality looked exactly how I expected from the website photo. This was a definite bonus right off the bat.
After trying the costume on my 6-month-old son, who is about the size of a 9-12 month old, I was again pleased that the sizing was accurate. He fit perfectly, though most 6-9 month clothes do not fit him. I can see most babies in the 6-12 month range being able to fit well in this costume. Even better was that it was extremely easy to put on with a simple un-velcroing of an arm hole and a slip over the head. Bonus #2!

The best part of this costume is that it is truly adorable. I love that the flippers have little straps to put around baby’s arms so the flippers move as baby’s arms move. The headpiece sits perfectly on top of baby’s head so there is minimal annoyances to baby. The costume is made of fleece so will undoubtedly be nice and warm on a cool Halloween night when paired with an undershirt and pants. The quality is exceptional as well; this is not a costume that looks like it will easily tear by any means. My only complaint is that the price is a little steep for a baby costume that will most likely only be worn once: $59.00. However, the quality and cuteness is enough to make it worth it.
Check out Pottery Barn Kids newest costumes, just in time for Halloween. Aside from the adorable baby costumes available (Peacock, Unicorn, Flamingo, Shark, to name a few), there are also adorable older kid and family costumes (the Under the Sea and Dr. Seuss themes are absolutely adorable!) on the Pottery Barn Kids website. Most costumes range from about $30 – $70.

The costume is adorable–almost as adorable as the baby. I wish I could hug and kiss him right now.
