I love the taste of butter. It can make such a difference in the taste of food. It’s not hard to work with for cooking but it can be difficult to work with for eating. Did you ever want just a schmear for a bagel or waffle? Try to spread butter from a quarter pound stick onto bread or toast. The bread always tears. Yes you can use margarine (and I have) but the taste is just not the same. I recently had the opportunity to try Land O Lakes Spreadable Butter With Canola Oil.
Made with Land O Lakes Butter, canola oil, salt, Land O Lakes Spreadable Butter with Canola Oil addresses the number one consumer need in the butter category: the taste and wholesome, simple goodness of real butter with the convenience of a spread. There’s no processed or artificial ingredients – just sweet cream, canola oil and salt.
I received a sample of Land O Lakes Spreadable Butter With Canola Oil. I can be a bit cynical and I didn’t think this would taste anything like real butter. I was both surprised and pleased to learn that it tastes almost identical to real butter. It also looks like butter too! It spreads as easily as any spreadable margarine but tastes so much better than margarine. And it didn’t tear the bread!
Land O Lakes Spreadable Butter with Canola Oil is available in grocery stores nationwide with a suggested retail price of $1.79 for the 8-ounce tub and $3.99 for the 15-ounce tub.

I use to love the Land O'Lakes Butter w Canola. Thought this was the greatest stuff around. But, for the past several years it has a real odd taste at times. It comes and goes as if it is the end of the batch or some kind of cleaner this company is using on its equipment altering the taste. I no longer will buy this stuff since it has this odd taste more often. I also tried the Butter with Canola, plant sterols and fish oil and only once was enough for me.
I have decided to try Smart Balance Butter with Canola, plant sterols and fish oil and even though it tasted a little different it is quite good and will continue to buy this product hoping I don't start getting the same odd taste that Land O'Lakes have at various times.

I have tried Land O Lakes brand butter before and it's consistent in flavor (which is really great!) as well as in texture. However, I haven't tried the one with the canola oil. But I am sure it will be great tasting, no doubt.
