ABOUT HOTCAN

Hot Can’s innovative beverage container uses a safe natural reaction to heat itself. This technology enables today’s on-the-go consumers to enjoy distinctive Hot Can beverages and soups heated to the perfect serving temperature in three easy steps.

MY THOUGHTS

HotCan varieties include Cafe Latté, Cafe Mocha, Hot Cocoa, Hot Tea, Asparagus Soup, Chicken Soup, Mushroom Soup, and Tomato Soup. I received samples of all except the Chicken Soup. Hubby and I were VERY skeptical about if these beverages would actually be hot and how they would taste. The beverages are pretty easy to “make”. First you remove the tamper proof label. then you push down on the bottom of the can. You will need to push down pretty firmly for it to work, no worres you won’t hurt it.

Next you shake the can gently for anywhere from 30 to 60 seconds, depending on if you see steam coming out. (I had a hard time getting a picture of the steam, but you may be able to see it faintly in the left side of the picture.)

Lastly, you turn the can upright and drink.

The cans have a heavier feel then you get with a regular can, so it’s a little harder to tell when it’s empty short of tipping it all the way up to see if anything else comes out. Hubby and I both shared each of the flavors that I received except the mushroom. His coworkers tried the mushroom and thought it tasted great. My favorite was the Tomato soup, while his favorite was the Asparagus. After trying these I really want to try the Chicken soup, since we love chicken soup. The beverages don’t stay hot forever obviously, but they do retain heat for 5-10 minutes. These beverages would be great for camping, sporting events, travel, lunch at work, and many other situations where you want something hot but don’t have access to hot water or appliances to heat with.

HotCans are available in the USA online and in independent stores nationwide, use the store locator to find the location nearest you.

Hmmmm... what an interesting creation. This also might be nice to carry in your car's emergency road trip bag in the winter. If you were stuck in snow a warm soup would be very welcome!
