Hawaiian Kettle Original Chips

Discover a new world of Flavor Destinations when you crunch into Hawaiian™ Kettle Style Potato Chips. The crispy, golden chips are cooked to perfection, then salted just enough to enhance the natural potato flavor. Using the traditional Polynesian recipe that originated the Hawaiian™ Kettle Style Potato Chip, only the finest ingredients are used to create a chip that captures the freshness and authenticity of the islands. Open a bag of Hawaiian Style Potato Chips, and let yourself be swept away to a tropical paradise of blue skies and warm, sandy beaches.

The line offers four exotic, unique and delicious flavors including:

  • Original‐ To capture the freshness and authenticity of the islands, this chip is slow cooked in the old Hawaiian tradition in a select blend of oils for a crispy, crunchy potato chip, finished with the just perfect pinch of salt to enhance the natural potato flavor.
  • Sweet Maui Onion‐ Crispy, golden chips cooked to perfection, then seasoned with just the right amount of Sweet Maui onion flavor.
  • Luau BBQ‐ Although the front of the bag boasts Sweet and Spicy, consumers say it’s sweet and sassy and full of detectable flavor. Try putting these chips inside your next burger for a yummy twist.
  • Wasabi‐ Discover a new world of flavor when you try these unique tasting chips which combine the zest of wasabi root with a kick of horseradish and thick sliced potato chips to create this ultimate island delight.

I received samples of Hawaiian Original Kettle Style Potato Chips. As with the other two flavors that I tried earlier this year the chips were super crunchy. I liked the flavor and found these perfect for dipping, because the flavor could go with any dip and because the crunchy chip didn’t break when I dipped it.

Hawaiian™ Kettle Style Potato Chips are available in a range of sizes including 2 oz. bags, 8 oz. bags (SRP $2.99‐$3.49), 16 oz. Bags and 32 oz. bags. Hawaiian™ Kettle Style Potato Chips are distributed by Tim’s Cascade Snacks® and Snyder of Berlin®.

My husband and I love these, but don’t buy them often. The kids don’t like them, and we can never eat potato chips enough to eat the whole bag. I end up throwing about a third of the bag out due to it getting stale.

I would love to try the Sweet Maui Onion!.. I love onions. Hubby likes chips that are crunchy, I like em crunchy and don’t want a chip to break while dipping… wonder if these would be good smashed up and added to coating for chops and chicken.

Not sure, they’re pretty crunchy. Let me know if you give it a try.
