Just in time for Back-to-School, Eddie Bauer has launched its new line of jackets, outerwear, and backpacks for kids. From lightweight fleece to toasty-warm down jackets, Eddie Bauer has everything needed to keep your children warm this fall and winter season – and in the latest styles, of course!
I had the opportunity to review Eddie Bauer’s MicroTherm Down Hooded Jacket for girls. The jacket comes in Magenta, a rich pinkish-purple, and Ice, a light, pretty blue. Knowing my pink-obsessed daughter, I chose Magenta.
The color is a bit different than how it’s pictured on the website, but I actually like it better – and my daughter agreed, excitedly, that “It’s even MORE pink than the picture!” I love the look and the fit of the jacket. The sleeves come down right over her wrists, the perfect length to cover up where gloves tend to stop. The hood is perfectly snug around her head as well. I also like the small details of silver on the bottom and back of the jacket that match the zipper and the inside silver lining.
My favorite thing, though, is even though it’s a down jacket, it’s not as ridiculously thick as many down jackets are! I hated having to wear heavy jackets as a child just as my children do. This jacket is so lightweight that I know she won’t complain about being uncomfortable, yet it will still keep her nice and warm on our walks to and from school every day.
The shell of this coat is 100% recycled Polyester, and finished with StormRepel DWR finish, making it water-resistant. The insulation is a minimum of 75% goose down to keep your child protected against the cold and wind. The jacket also features pockets to help keep little hands warm and they zip when not in use or to hold small items.
This jacket retails for $99.95 at Eddie Bauer. To view the complete fall collections for kids and adults, visit EddieBauer.com.
