REVIEW – Casa Di Bertacchi Meatballs And 101 Things To Do With Meatballs Cookbook

We'd love it if you shared it!

How do you make your meatballs? In brown gravy? In red sauce? How do you serve them? Over noodles? On bread? If you’re like lots of other people, those things may be the extent of what you think you can do with meatballs. Not so! Recently I received a copy of a cookbook entitled 101 Things To Do with Meatballs. Yep, a meatball cookbook! I love meatballs so the title was all it took to grab my attention. The cookbook was written by Stephanie Ashcraft and features 101 recipes made with Casa di Bertacchi meatballs.

Have you ever tried Casa di Bertacchi meatballs? For those of you unfamiliar, Casa di Bertacchi meatballs trace their roots back to Mario Bertacchi, a man who founded a small New Jersey meat market in the 1920s and expanded into meatballs roughly 40 years later. See – who says good things don’t come from Jersey? Their meatballs are made with quality beef and authentic Italian ingredients. Available in a 5/8 oz. appetizer size and a 1 oz. dinner size, Case di Bertacchi Meatballs are fully cooked and frozen to make meal prep shorter and easier.

I was introduced to Casa di Bertacchi Meatballs years ago when I was a member of Sam’s Club. I can make a good meatball from scratch but I’m just not always inclined to do so. For years I’ve kept a bag of frozen meatballs in my freezer, for those nights where I couldn’t make meatballs from scratch. Casa di Bertacchi meatballs are flavorful and easy to make, just heat them and eat them. You can eat them by themselves or incorporate them into any number of recipes. If you’re tired of the same old meatballs, you’re sure to find something that grabs your interest in the 101 Things To Do With Meatballs cookbook.

Recipe categories include:

  • Appetizers and sides
  • Soup, Stews and Chili
  • Sandwiches, Wraps and More
  • Dressed-Up meatballs
  • Pasta Dinners
  • Dinners With Rice
  • Family Favorites

The cookbook if filled with recipe after recipe, each one sounding yummier than the last. The recipes within the cookbook are all simple and easy to understand and don’t call for any exotic ingredients. I’ve tried a couple of the recipes since receiving the cookbook. So far our favorite one is the Creamy French Onion meatballs. The recipe was simple to make – six ingredients in the crockpot on low for a couple of hours. It doesn’t get any better than that for a busy Mom. The next recipe that I want to try making is Cheesy Rice And Hamburger Soup.

I love the cookbook and will be using it many timesin the future. I’m looking forward to trying different meatball recipes. 101 Things to do with Meatballs is available for purchase at Sam’s Club, bookstores and online from Amazon.

Like that these come in appetizer and entree sizes but would like to have them offer plain as well as Italian style. .-= pat.navymom´s last blog ..WW - The Symbolism Of The Bald Eagle =-.
