As a teenager I loved being tan and tried to get as dark as I could. As I got older I grew to dislike the heat, but my real wakeup call about UV protection came when my Mom was diagnosed with skin cancer. Parents today need to do everything possible to protect their children, and that includes their eyes. That’s where Baby Banz comes in.

First introduced to the American market in 2002, Baby Banz are best known for their unique wrap-around, banded design and 100% UV protective lenses. Often imitated, but never duplicated, Baby Banz continue to be the standard for baby and children’s sunglasses and UV protection worldwide.

Baby Banz are the keystone for the expanding Baby Banz Protection Collection that includes: adjustable baby and toddler sun hats, UPF 50 swimwear and flap hats, our cool new Retro Banz and for winter, mirrored Ski Banz. Baby Banz sells its Protection Collection line nationwide in a variety of outlets including optical and specialty baby stores.

In an ever deteriorating UV climate, Baby Banz is steadfast in its ongoing effort to preserve the sensitive eyes and precious skin of little ones everywhere. Baby Banz is committed to developing children’s UV protective sunglasses, hats, accessories and swimwear that not only protect them from the sun’s harmful UV rays, but are also comfortable, fun to wear and strong enough to last.

I received a pair of Pacific Blue Adventure Baby Banz.

The Baby Banz are so cute and cool! The frame is shatter resistant and the lenses can actually be replaced with prescription lenses too! The sunglasses have a silicone nose and brow piece embedded into the glasses for added comfort and are made to be adjusted as your child grows. The side has adjustable Velcro and the strap that goes on the head is made of flexible neoprene. My nephew hadn’t arrived yet when these got here so I tested them out by going outside and holding them in front of my own eyes. I was quite impressed with how much sun and glare they prevented from hitting my eyes.

Baby Banz can be purchased online. At under $20 they’re well worth the investment. Besides sunglasses, Banz also carries special needs glasses, swim goggles, ski goggles, hats and wraps, swimwear and sunscreen.

I love these. I live in a desert and the sun can really get so bright that when my kids were babies, I had to shade their eyes. I would have loved to have these then.
