MY THOUGHTS
I am a sucker for breads. All kinds. Bagels, tortillas, muffins, biscuits – you name it. Though I know they aren’t the most diet-friendly foods, I also know that, in moderation, they can be a great source of fiber. The Alexia Sweet Potato Rolls are certainly a pleasant surprise in this area, featuring whole wheat flour as one of the first three ingredients listed. Each roll has 8 grams of whole grains, more than many other dinner rolls on the market. With this alone, I feel much more confident feeding these rolls to my family than I would a regular white roll.
Taste-wise, these rolls surprised me again. I am not a huge fan of sweet potatoes in any way, shape. or form. However, the Alexia Sweet Potato Rolls have a sweeter taste than that of sweet potato fries, for example. I tried the rolls both with and without butter, and each way was equally yummy. I also enjoyed the texture – a little denser than the dinner rolls I’m used to, but still light and fluffy. These are perfect for a side to a meal or to use as appetizers – I think some turkey and melted Swiss cheese would be perfect in these!

I hated sweet potatoes until I had sweet potato pie. That;s when I discovered the veggie baked and in fries. Want to check this out.
