Yes I have more cake mix crinkle cookies for you! This batch gets all of it’s color from the sugar. If you’re looking for a simple red cookie to put out for Valentine’s Day, look no further! The red sugar used in this recipe makes a really bold statement. I did find it interesting that this batch came out more round and less crinkly than the other types of crinkle cookies I have made did. I’m not sure if it’s because the sugar that I used was a little bit coarser than the powdered sugar I used for other crinkle cookies. Here’s how I make them.
Red Sparkle Sugar Cake Mix Crinkle Cookies
The recipe makes 18-24 cookies, depending on how large you make the cookies. My batch made 18 nice sized cookies.

- 2 cookie sheets lined with parchment paper. Alternatively, you could use a silicone baking mat.
- ice cream scoop or cookie scoop
- wire cooling rack
- mixing bowl
- pot holders
- 15.25 oz box of white cake mix (I used Pillsbury Moist Supreme)
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup oil (I used vegetable)
- approximately 1.5 oz red sprinkle sugar (it’s almost half of the jar)
Preheat the oven to 350 f.
Place cake mix, eggs and oil in a mixing bowl and combine thoroughly.
Place each ball into the sugar and rotate to coat completely.
Place the balls onto the cookie sheet.
Bake for 10-11 minutes.
Let sit on the cooling rack for a few minutes before serving.
