About the Author
James Dean’s art has sold in more than ninety galleries and shops across the United States. He has devoted his paintings to Pete the Cat for ten years and has turned his natural love for cats into his life’s work. James published his first adult book, The Misadventures of Pete the Cat, a history of his artwork, in 2006. He illustrated his first self-published children’s book, Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes, in 2008, and the follow-up book, Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes, in 2011. James lives in Savannah, Georgia, with his wife, four cats, and one dog.
This book includes 30 stickers, poster, and cards. It’s a very cute book about Pete the Cat. Pete realizes how much mom and dad do for him and he wants to show them how much he appreciates them. His big brother tells him that it’s not what you do but how you do it, so he makes a really rockin song for them. It’s a very cute book and R and E really enjoyed the extras. There are 8 cards for kids to give to their mom and dad to say thank you. I think for a child to truly understand the meaning of the book they would need to be at least 3 or 4 years old.

I love this so much! It's the ultimate children's book. It's got great art, a great message, and stickers. Kids can't say no to stickers.

I love that they include stickers/etc. so there is more to do with the book than just read it. I'll bet it helps the kids remember more about it too!
