I hate making a mess. I work very hard to use as few bowls, pots and pans as possible, because the more you use the more you have to wash. Noone wants a ton of dirty dishes! Author Christina Dymock came up with the One Dirty Bowl cookbook because she felt the same way.
Chapters include:
- Small & Scrumptious
- Beautiful Brownies & Bars
- Decadent Dessert Breads
- Enticing Cookies
- Divine Sweets
- Charming Cakes, Cupcakes, Cobblers & Pies
Recipes in this cookbook are easy to understand. I appreciated seeing that all ingredients are ones that you will easily find in your grocery store. Many of the recipes in the cookbook are accompanied by a lovely color photo, but there are a number of recipes with no photo at all. As the cookbook is designed to help the user spend less time in the kitchen I was a bit surprised to find that cooking and prep time are tucked away within each recipe. It is much easier, and quicker, when cooking and prep time are highlighted somewhere, so that someone flipping through the cookbook will quickly know how long it will take to make that recipe. It’s a big factor in deciding what to make for me. This cookbook would be suitable for folks who enjoy baking and entertaining but just aren’t interested in all of the fuss and mess involved.

This is perfect for me! An entire cookbook devoted to one bowl is the greatest. I HATE cleanup after cooking!

I love to cook but I've always avoided dessert recipes because they seemed to involve far more of my least favorite chore: doing the dishes. I love that these cut down on the dirty utensils and of course taste delish!

This sounds like a cookbook I will have to check out indeed. I too try to use less bowls and tools for baking and cooking. I love the fact that it has prep and cooking times for each recipe also. Thanks for sharing.
