My Mom introduced me to gnocchi when I was a child. It is one of my favorite carbs. There’s just something about those little potato filled dumplings that makes my belly so very happy. Often I eat them with a little butter, salt and pepper. Sometimes I like to use them as part of a recipe, making them a main meal instead of a side. This recipe is super simple to make, and results in a cheesy comfort food in a reasonable amount of time. I made this usng the Ninja 3-in-1 Cooking System because it cooks quickly and doesn’t hear up the house like the stove. If you need to or prefer, the dish could easily be made on the stove with a pot and a pan and a little more time. Here’s how I made it.
One-pot Gnocchi With Ground Beef
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 2x 10 oz bags frozen potato gnocchi
- 1x 16 oz jar double cheddar pasta sauce (I used Ragu)
- 4 oz water
- 1x 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes with garlic and onion
Instructions
Turn Ninja on to stovetop high and brown the ground beef.
Once beef is browned, remove temporarily. Do not drain juices.
Add pasta sauce, water and tomatoes to Ninja and stir well.
Add the gnocchi.
Cover and let come to a boil.
Turn off heat and add ground beef back into pot.
Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Yummy gnocchis. Love Italian food but have never tried to make this dish. Gnocchis have a tricky technique I guess I will take your expert advice and try to make them at home.
