Magenta Rice Krispies Treats Recipe - Perfect Mock Ground Beef Squares For April Fool's Day Or Halloween

Ricce Krispies Treats. You gotta love them. They’re versatile because you can either easily make the super simple original recipe, or you can combine with other ingredients to turn into a colorful, fun treat. Take these Magenta Rice Krispies Treats. They’re super colorful. And at a quick glance, they look like they could be a block of raw meat. Can you think of anything more appropriate for a Halloween or April Fools table!  To make these, you’ll be using the ingredients as specified in Rice Krispies recipe for original treats. The only thing you will be doing differently is dividing everything and using food colors. It gives a fun, colorful feel to everyone’s favorite treat. It also makes the treats look a bit like raw ground beef. It took less than 10 minutes to make these treats using the microwave method. Here’s how I made them.

Magenta Rice Krispies Treats Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 10 oz JET-PUFFED Marshmallows
  • 6 cups Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® cereal
  • blue food coloring
  • red food coloring

Instructions

Spray 11×9 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Place the marshmallows into a large bowl and microwave for about 3 minutes, stirring half way.

Add 25 drops of red food coloring and stir well. Admire the pretty pink color.

Add 12 drops of blue food coloring and stir. Stir well but allow some areas to remain pink.

Place the mixture into the baking dish on top of the first layer and press down and together using a spatula or fork.

Let the treats cool before cutting and serving.
