We'd love it if you shared it!

Rainbow Loom Bands
You know what those things in that picture up here are, don’t you? They’re loom bands. These things are everywhere, aren’t they! They’re in every kind of store I go in, including the grocery store!  I see messages from friends in my Facebook feed where they’re talking about different projects to do with them. And at that very moment I am glad my oldest is 18 and has no interest. Why? That’s simple. Because I’m not crafty and I have no stinking clue what to do with them. If I didn’t see them so often online and someone handed me a bag of them there’s no doubt in my mind that I’d think they were hair scrunchies. Which of course they are not.
So you know what those are, and that I know nothing about what to do with them. But I have a good friend whose daughter absolutely loves them and is constantly looking for some more project ideas. She needed a family-friendly place full of like minded people. Enter LoomShare.
What’s LoomShare, you ask?
Loom Share is a fun place to get inspired from Loom designs, create your own, and share them with your friends, your school buddies, or all your fellow Loomers from around the world.

The first time you use the app you’ll probably want to go into the settings and set up what notifications you want to receive.

When logged into the app you’ll probably go to your feed, which is where you can get a quick look at everything that’s going on. Or maybe you’re the adventurous type, and will just look around under Discover.

But you might want to do more then look. You might want to do. What can you do? Well… how do you feel about contests?
You can create contests or join contests that others created, earn points and fun badges, and advance your ranking until you become a Super Loomer.

What I found interesting about LoomShare is that it isn’t just an informational app, it’s a community. A niche social network if you will. But, it’s a community designed with families, as well as today’s ever-growing need for caution when interacting with others while online. Kids and adults can share their designs in a safe environment, because while in LoomShare there is no direct user communication other than “loving” designs.
You can purchase LoomShare from the iTunes store for $0.99. You can also find the LoomShare Android app on Google Play.

Does anyone in your family do loom projects? Where do they look for inspiration and ideas?

Does the potholders we once did count? Universal colors or color coordination my must.

My daughter makes these bracelets like crazy! So fun and better for the kids than technology!

Both of my nieces are really into making jewelry right now. They love making friendship bracelets. We'll have to check this out.

I can't wait until my daughter is old enough for this. We are going to have so much fun!
