Instructions

Place the ground beef into the pot of the pressure cooker.

Set the cooker to saute and brown the ground beef.

Once the ground beef is browned, add in the broth, pasta, seasoning and tomatoes.

Stir the contents of the pot well and be sure that the pasta is completely covered.

Place the lid on the pot and set the vent to the “sealed” position.

Set the pressure cooker to cook for 5 minutes on the manual high pressure setting. (If you prefer your pasta al dente then only cook for 4 minutes.)

Once the cooking cycle has finished, do a quick pressure release.

Add 8 oz of Velveeta cheese to the pot and stir continually until it’s melted.

Add the bacon to the pot and stir continually until it’s melted.

Serve immediately.

Goulash seems to be one of the meals everyone makes in their instant pot. Adding bacon is something we do sometimes but not all the time. Makes for a hearty meal with good fresh crust of bread.

This looks and sounds like a dish that my mother used to make. Of course not in an instant pot. 🙂 Love how quick yours comes together.

I missed the Christmas deals but I’ve got my eye on an Instant Pot. This would be the perfect winter meal, we are expecting snow. I want to set and forget our meals until they are done.

You had me at bacon. Granted I will probably make this dish with ground turkey and turkey bacon, it is definitely being added to my Instant Pot recipe files. Looks so good.

I make goulash at least once a month. As well as cheeseburgers. It would be amazing to try this recipe so I could make both dishes at the same time.
