My oldest graduated high school a few days ago. I won’t get into the details but will say that my oldest son, who is extremely intelligent, hasn’t enjoyed school in quite some time. The tail end of high school hasn’t been a smooth sail and I really wasn’t sure until the day before graduation that he was even going to graduate. Fortunately, he did. I have been flooded with emotions since.
Love.
Relief.
Love.
Hope.
Love.
Worry.
Love.
Concern.
Love.
Nervous.
Love.
Unsure.
Love.
Sad.
Love.
Fear.
Love.
There are many more emotions. Thankfully, the feeling of how much I love this boy outweighs all of the rest.
This portion of the journey as a mother has been quite a ride. I wonder what the next segment will bring.

I love this. Love the post. Love the sentiment. Love how many times you used the word love. Love!
Love. Congratulations!
Congratulations, Mom. You both made it. Wonderful post. My daughter just finished the 9th grade and I am already starting to feel that tightening in my chest of worry for whats next for her. But you are right – love overshadows it all.
I love that there was sooooo much love! Congratulations to your family!
Wow, you are absolutely right, I imagine I would be going through all those emotions if I were in your shoes too. Thanks for sharing your heart.
Awwwwwwww π My oldest just turned 16…the time is near.
Congratulations to both you, Mom, and the new graduate! I remember that mixture of emotions when my own son reached that milestone a few years ago.

I love your emotion list. It’s true no matter what grade they are graduating from.
Congratulations to you both. It was a road you both shared… and Love was there all those years so it is understandable that it resonated so strongly with you now.

Congrats! My brother lives with us and he just graduated. That was an emotional roller coaster. I can imagine what I will be like when it’s time for my boys to graduate!
My children are far from being in High School, but I know how you must feel!

Congratulations to both of you! My little brother graduated this year and we also didn’t know until just a couple of days before if he would in fact graduate. It’s not a small achievement, that’s for sure!
