I’m not the biggest fan of the butcher department at the nearest grocery store. There is an independent butcher I do like but he’s not convenient for me to get to. From talking to others I’ve learned that there’s a good number of people that would like access to a butcher, or access to one that is convenient to their lifestyle. Meat N Bone is a butcher in Miami, Florida. While they do serve their immediate area, they also offer online butcher service to the rest of the country through express delivery service. Products ordered are frozen and shipped in an insulated box on dry ice. I received 3 items from Meat N Bone – boneless ribeye, beef tenderloin kabobs and ground beef. All of the meat looked fresh. The ground beef was super lean, which is what made it ideal for the soup recipe I’m sharing today. Using a fresh and lean ground beef gives the soup its best taste and mouthfeel. The ribeye steak was amazing, I cooked it on the indoor grill and it just melted in my mouth. I haven’t made the beef tenderloin kabobs yet but they arrived beautifully trimmed and I think they are the leanest ones I’ve seen. The box I received included lots of information on the beef from Meat N Bone, different types of beef cuts and information on preparation.

Steakhouses can be awesome, but they are expensive.

Pressure Cooker Hamburger Vegetable Soup
Pressure Cooker Vegetable Beef Soup is a hearty belly-warming soup that the whole family will love. This naturally gluten-free soup is easy to prepare. It works perfectly as a meal by itself, or with a main dish or just as something to take a chill off. If you like a very brothy soup you will want to add an extra 2 cups of beef broth when preparing. Here’s how I make Pressure Cooker Hamburger Vegetable Soup.
- electric pressure cooker (I used a 6 qt Zavor LUX LCD)
- potato peeler
- cutting board
- measuring spoons
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup frozen sweet corn
- 1 cup frozen green beans
- 1 small Vidalia onion, minced or diced
- 2 tsp minced garlic (the kind you keep in the fridge)
- 1x 28 oz can petite diced tomatoes (do not drain)
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp and 1 tsp Sicilian Blend seasoning (if you don’t have this available you can use Italian seasoning.)
Plug in the electric pressure cooker.
Place the ground beef into the pot, onions and minced garlic into the pot, along with 1 tsp of seasoning.
Saute until the beef is brown.
If by any chance any beef has stuck to the bottom of the pot, pour a splash of the broth into the pot to loosen it.
Add the diced potatoes to the pot.
Pour the remainder of the broth into the pot.
Put the frozen vegetables into the pot, followed by the 1 tbsp of seasoning.
Place the diced tomatoes into the pot.
Place the lid onto the pressure cooker and close to seal.
Set the pressure cooker to cook on manual high pressure for 4 minutes.
Let the pressure cooker do a natural pressure release.
Things To Know
Can I make Hamburger Vegetable Soup ahead of time?
There’s really not a huge need to make this soup in advance because it doesn’t take long to make. But, yes, you could make it advance and store it in the fridge. As the soup sits it will absorb some of the broth, which means you’ll have to add a little broth when you reheat it. I don’t suggest adding a little water as you would be diluting it that way.
