Here’s how I make them.
Ham And Cheese Stuffed Mashed Potato Balls
Equipment needed
Ingredients
- 24 oz mashed potatoes (I used 1 tray Simply Potatoes mashed potatoes)
- 6 oz deli ham, sliced thick at deli, then diced
- 4 oz cheddar cheese, cubed
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup Italian panko bread crumbs
- vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
Pour some oil into the Copper Chef pot. It needs to be a little taller then the potato balls you make.
Turn the stovetop to high to heat the oil.
Place a scoop of potatoes in your hand. Flatten it, rest the ham and cheese in the center. Fold up the edges then roll to smooth all seams. Continue until all of the potatoes have been used.
Create an assembly line with the prep bowls, one for flour, one for egg and one for panko.
Place each potato ball into the flour, then the egg, then the panko.
Using tongs, place potato balls into the Copper Chef until golden and crispy, about 5 minutes each.
When removing, place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil. Use the tongs to remove the potato balls if you don’t have the basket in the pot.
Serve immediately as is or with favorite sauce.

Er ma gerd these look so amazing! Potatoes and cheese are my two weaknesses and the ham just puts it over the edge.
