October is National Pizza Month. When Classico challenged me to elevate our pizza, I gladly accepted. (Be sure to check out that post as well while you’re here.) While pondering what pies I might create, I thought it would be fun to try and make a pizza that looked like a pumpkin.
INGREDIENTS
- 7 oz (1/2 jar) Classico Fire Roasted tomato Pizza Sauce
- 1x 15 oz fresh refrigerated pizza dough (or whatever dough you want)
- 2x lg green peppers
- 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 450. (or whatever your dough requires)

Roll dough out onto pizza pan.

Place a layer of pizza sauce on the dough.

Cut the green peppers into slices. Lay the pieces out into the shape of a pumpkin.

Place the shredded cheddar inside of the pepper pieces.
Place the shredded mozzarella cheese on the outside of the pepper pieces.

Bake for 20 minutes. (or whatever your dough requires).

Remove from oven and serve.
My pizza needs a little work on the decorating end next time.

This is totally cool. I love pizza and to shape it like a pumpkin? Even better. Plan to do this for next Friday Night Family Movie Night :)

We love pizza in our house, this would be a fun thing to do with the kidlets! They'd love eating a fun pizza they created themselves!
