This past week we decided to get some Chinese takeout. I had errands to run so I decided to pick my order up. When I phoned in the order I was told it would be ready for pickup in 20-25 minutes. I arrived in just under 25 minutes. The folks behind the counter were just bagging up my order. They confirmed who I was and my order. They gave me a really cute bag with a happy face on it and I headed home.

Most of the food was in reusable containers, with the exception of the egg rolls which were in a small bag.

I’d ordered a dinner special of pork egg foo young and pork fried rice ($7.75). The dinner came with two omelettes on a nice sized bed of the fried rice. I liked that the gravy came in its own separate container. The egg foo young was tasty and tender. The rice was tender but a bit on the bland side.
Hubby had ordered a side of 8 fried dumplings ($5.25) and a dinner special of pork lo mein and pork fried rice ($7.95). The fried dumplings were very moist, tender and tasty. I didn’t get a chance to get a photo of his meal. He said that the pork lo mein was excellent. He also found the fried rice to be a bit bland.
The Golden Taste Chinese Restaurant is located at 600 Fischer Blvd, Toms River, NJ. I found the menu variety, portion sizes and pricing to be in line with other Chinese restaurants in our area. The restaurant was clean and the folks were nice and I would stop in again in the future.

This food looks great, and I love the resealable containers. I love to get a ton of Chinese food and then eat it for a couple of days. =D

YUM, I have been craving Chinese Food for a few weeks now. My favorite dish would have to be Beef with Broccoli.

Beef and broccoli! It is one of my favorites and also tends to be one of the ones that can also be on the bland side if not cooked right.

This sounds like an great place for Chinese food. This sounds like a place near us. The food looks and sounds amazing. I so love Chinese food and love when the meals come in reusable containers because there is usually left overs. Thanks for sharing.
