This a very inspiring book about a 15 yr old intersexual named Alyx. Alyx’s mom first choses to raise him as a boy. But, he is bullied and they move away from California. Now in Wisconsin, Alyx is now a girl. Things seem to be going well until she has to prove she is a girl to keep playing on the basketball team. The book goes through teenage struggles and insecurities on top of complex gender issues. C really enjoyed reading this book since she’s in high school and sees some of these struggles on a daily basis.
