Edible Sugar Cookie Dough

Can we talk about cookie dough for a moment? One of the best things about baking cookies is nibbling on the cookie dough, don’t you agree? I know they say it’s bad for you but I can’t stop myself from having a little bit. It’s summer now and far too hot to turn on the oven. So short of opening up a package of refrigerate cookie dough and going to town (tempting thought on some days but totally inappropriate LOL), the only solution is to treat yourself to some edible cookie dough. Now you can buy the pre-made edible cookie dough from the freezer section in your grocery store, but you will be paying an arm and a leg for it. One small package goes for like $5 here. That’s simply not in the budget. (Ben, Jerry, I’m looking at you here.) I have found it’s far simpler and a lot less expensive to make my own edible cookie dough. And, it’s also convenient, because it’s so easy to make I can do it any time, even late at night.

Traditional cookie dough contains both eggs and flour, things that shouldn’t be eaten raw because they can contain bacteria that can make you sick. Edible Sugar Cookie Dough is safe to eat because it has no eggs in it, and because the flour is “baked” in the microwave. That means you can safely eat it without worrying about getting sick. It’s a perfect quick treat because it’s so simple to make, easy to store safe to eta, and really tasty.

Here’s how to make it.
