In the spirit of full-disclosure, I’ve partnered with Cuisinart Alfrescamoré and received a product demo and premium items as part of my participation. However, no payment was given or expected for posting about the program, and as always, all opinions given here are fully my own.

You might (or might not) know that October is National Pizza Month. Pizza is favorite around here for everyone. Even though we all eat different types, pizza is one food that we all agree on as being yummy. It’s great year round, but it’s especially good to me on a chilly night. Now if you’ve gone to real pizzerias over the years like me then you know that pizza comes out of the oven steaming hot, with ooey gooey cheese. You can have the pizzeria deliver your pies but it just isn’t the same as having pizza right out of a pizza oven. And pizza you make at home? No comparison, not even close to the feel of real, fresh pizza made in a pizzeria. Until now.

The Cuisinart Alfrescamoré Outdoor Pizza Oven is a game changer. It’s a mini pizza oven that you can use right in your own back yard. Or when you’re camping. Or when you’re tailgating. Basically anywhere you want to bring it. The Alfrescamoré was designed to replicate a real brick oven, and gives consumers like you and I the ability to make pizzeria quality pizza anywhere at any time. The unit is compact. It weighs 35 pounds and is as easy to move as a gas-powered grill like those used for tailgating.

The Alfrescamoré comes with a 13″ Cordierite Stone, smoke chip cup (if you really want to feel authentic and add wood-fired taste), a 12″ Pizza Peel, warming tray. The whole oven can be assembled in under ten minutes without the use of tools. The side of the pizza oven has a place to hang the pizza peel.

It was drizzling here at the Jersey shore tonight. I enjoy seeing all of the kids in their costumes. What better way to enjoy chilly fall evening like tonight then with a little Cuisinart Alfrescamoré! Spooky, fun and warming all at once!
Using the Alfrescamoré is easy. It requires a small propane tank. (A 2-pack cost me under $7 at Walmart, in the camping section.) To turn it on and adjust the flame you simply turn the knob. There’s a built-in temperature gauge on top of the oven.
I was challenged to make a 3-course meal using only the Cuisinart Alfrescamoré. I started off with a simple gluten-free pizza. I let the oven heat up while getting the dough ready. When I opened the oven to put the dough in there the temperature gauge said it was 500 inside. I lowered the temp a little. I know now I should have probably waited to do this until after I put my food in, since opening the grill let a bunch of cold air in there. I placed the dough onto the stone, then put some sauce and cheddar cheese on top. The pizza was ready in under ten minutes.

The finished pizza pie reminded me of pizzeria pizza, complete with the big old cheese bubble on top! I was very happy to see the crust was not too crispy and not too chewy, and that the bottom was evenly browned and not burned.
On to dessert! I made some cookies!
I should have watched the cookies a little more closely. They were ready-to-bake cookies. They don’t take very long to bake. I believe I put them in too soon and the oven was too hot. I sliced the thin layer of the bottom where it was overdone with a knife. The cookies then tasted pretty much like they were supposed to taste.
Here’s a brief video on the Cuisinart Alfrescamoré Outdoor Pizza Oven.
We’re thrilled with the new Cuisinart Alfrescamoré Outdoor Pizza Oven. I can see lots of uses for it. At home, while camping, at the beach, while tailgating, at the game, the uses go on and on. Heck, you could even bring it to work and make a hot and fresh lunch!
