Crossroads at House of Blues, Disney Springs has location, ambiance, good food, and solid entertainment. Its voodoo decor, music legend vaulted ceilings, instruments, statues, and art signal no chamber music here. Dress code “must wear shirt and shoes” means casual, laid back. This House dimly lit, is the perfect place to relax, unwind, enjoy. Reservations accepted, its handicapped accessible mature setting and concert venue = the perfect adult timeout in a world built for kids.

After a day of local shopping, it was dinner time and hubby suggested we go to Downtown Disney for”eats.” Bypassing almost a dozen and a half full serve restaurants and cafes from the Marketplace to Westside Disney shows there regard my hungry man holds for the House. Yes, we have dined there several times and enjoy its full menu.

With Happy Hour still in progress, I ordered a rum and coke and Hubby just coke since he was driving along with our tasty ample starters.  House salad for him.

Spicy vegetable soup du jour for me.

On to the main event, hubby chose:

Applewood Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf–A delicious blend of savory flavors wrapped in applewood bacon and topped with our housemade wild mushroom sauce, served with fresh vegetables and Red Rose garlic mashed potatoes.

I opted for a Signature Smoked BBQ Bacon Burger–Topped with Cheddar cheese, smoked tomato BBQ sauce, applewood bacon, crispy pickled jalapenos, sauteed bourbon onions on a brioche bun.   A great thing about this place is SUBSTITUTIONS are allowed so  I specified absolutely no jalapeños then swapped french fries for sweet potato ones.  (Oops, everything tantalized me so I forgot to take a picture before starting…sorry.)

More Coca Cola, hubby’s drink of choice;  hot tea British style for me then, of course, Sweet endings–Bourbon Bread Pudding–Cooked with bananas and white chocolate, finished with a bourbon caramel sauce topped with fresh whipped cream.
