With designs that are perfect for birthdays, holidays, or any special occasion, this book has everything you need to get started, including recipes and step-by-step instructions. Easy to use and filled with fun ideas, this book will soon have you creating professional-looking cookies right in your own home!

The beginning of the book contains some helpful sections:

  • Let’s Get Started
  • Colors
  • Color Charts
  • Color Palettes

These sections contain a good amount of helpful information. There are plenty of detailed explanations and even some photo tutorials. My own favorite is the color charts, which remind me of counting the number of drops of food coloring we used to use when making Easter eggs when I was a child. The color palettes are great for those that can’t always envision what goes well with what. Then comes the compendium of decorating tutorials.

Each decoration contains detailed instructions, as well as step-by-step photo tutorials. These decorations all look like things you’d see in a bakery, but the tutorials are designed to help you understand that a regular home cook like you or I are capable of making those same beautiful decorations. Countless party themes could be put together using this book, making it an invaluable tool. This book would be appropriate for anyone interested in decorating, particularly those that are inexperienced at it.

People love pretty food, that is correct. I'd love to check this book out. I'm actually a better baker than I am a cook.

It's the opposite for me, I'm a better cook than baker.

For sure! Baking is not my strong suit and I stink at decorating so anything that lays it out step by step is welcome in my kitchen.
