Today over on Mom Knows It All I shared a new exclusive promotion where folks that get specially marked boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios will get Usher’s new single “Clueless”, a song which is not on his new album. Honey Nut Cheerios are one of hubby’s favorite cereals. He loves treats and cereal bars and such, so I grabbed the cereal and put together this rocking treat for him. Here’s how I made it.
INGREDIENTS
- 6 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
- 1x 10 oz bag mini-marshmallows
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 small, ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS
Spray a 13×9 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Place the marshmallows and the butter in a large bowl.
Microwave for 90 seconds.
Stir contents of bowl.
Slice the ripe bananas and microwave them for about 40 seconds, just enough to warm and soften them.
Add the bananas to the bowl and stir.
Add the peanut butter and stir.
Add the Honey Nut Cheerios and stir well.
Add the chocolate chips and stir.
Pour the whole mixture into the baking pan. Press the mixture down to make it fairly even and flat across the whole pan.
Let sit for at least 10 minutes before serving.

I need to try this! I tend to eat Cheerios as a snack. I don't mix them with anything (and I don't eat cereal with milk....because I'm a bit weird.)

That sounds yummy delicious! Being diabetic I probably will not make it--but sure wish I could make a pan full and eat it all up!
