Are you still trying to figure out what to get the special woman in your life for Mother’s Day? For some people they like the idea of giving a charity gift. While not my preference on what to give, I can see where some people might appreciate it. Here are some thoughts on charity gifts that Caitlyn shared with me on the different types of charity gifts.

Charity gifts are gifts that are exactly what their name implies that they are: they are gifts that are purchased for an occasion and given to charity. People who enjoy donating to charities might appreciate it more if you present them with a charity gift rather than a personal gift for themselves when special occasions roll around. There are numerous types of occasions upon which you can give a charity gift as well. For instance, you can give a Unicef gift this Mothers Day if your mother is passionate about giving to charities. Chances are she’ll like the fact that her gift is going to a charity that she cares about and is for an important cause.
There are numerous types of charity gifts that you can give. Some of the most popular types of charity gifts include those that are designed to help children in third-world countries as well as ones that are designed to assist other countries during emergency relief crises. Charity gifts are potentially life-changing and life-saving gifts. When you choose to purchase a charity gift for a friend or family member, the recipient of the gift receives a personalized gift card that has a description of the gift that was donated to charity in their honor.
Vaccines are popular types of charity gifts. Medicine to prevent measles and polio are among the most popular types of medicine and vaccine charity gifts. Usually, these types of gifts come in vaccines of 100 or 200 that guarantee that many children will receive the vaccine that they so desperately need to remain disease-free.
Another popular type of charity gift is an emergency relief pack. Having the supplies that you need when an emergency strikes is essential to preserving life and sustaining yourself. Oftentimes, when a natural disaster strikes, countries need assistance getting these types of supplies. By sending a charity gift in the form of an emergency relief pack, you can help save lives and sustain those who have been hit by disaster.
Still, there are other types of charity gifts like story books. Story books help provide children who might not receive the academic materials that they need to educate themselves otherwise reading material. Almost all children love story books, and they help foster their imagination.
No matter what type of charity gift you would like to give in honor of a friend or relative, doing so might be the best gift that you can give the recipient. There are plenty of places where you can purchase charity gifts online as well, so finding them is easy.

For me it would depend on the person. I much prefer to give someone something for themselves unless they request a donation be made to charity instead of a gift for themselves.

If it's a cause I know they're really passionate about, I would. If it's not something they'd request, no.

I would. I think it depends upon the person and the situation though.

I would definitely consider giving to a charity. I like to know a lot about them and their cause first, though.
