Quick And Easy Cavatelli With Broccoli #recipe

We'd love it if you shared it!

I have been trying to come up with some quick and easy meals. This one comes in at just under 20 minutes. It’s simple and tasty and filling. Serve a side of garlic bread with it and you’re good to go. Here’s how I made it.

Quick And Easy Cavatelli With Broccoli

INGREDIENTS

  • 1x 13 oz box frozen chopped broccoli
  • 13 oz frozen cavatelli
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

Cook the cavatelli in boiling salted water.

While cavatelli is boiling (actually while the water is coming to a boil) cook broccoli about 3/4 of the way.

Simmer 2 tbsp garlic and 6 tbsp olive oil.

Drain broccoli and add to the garlic and olive oil.

Add 2 tbsp garlic powder and stir well.

Combine the broccoli mixture with the cavatelli and stir well.

Serve immediately with salt and pepper to taste.

What’s your favorite “quick” pasta dish? Please leave a comment, I’d really like to know!

We have never had that type of noodle before! I am always looking for ways to make broccoli palatable for my kids, this might do the trick!

What is cavatelli? Is it a type of pasta? It looks a bit like penne.

Funny thing. I opened up the refrigerator minutes ago to prepare the fresh broccoli I asked hubby to put in the shopping cart. He didn't buy it. Me thinks he does not like broccoli.
