Watkins Glen KOA Campground, New York – Outside The Lodge

I’ve been going to Watkins Glen, New York every summer since my children were born. Actually a little before that. My family has been going up there for probably twenty years. For almost every single year of that time our family has stayed at the Watkins Glen KOA in a camper. We’ve had two different campers, one very tiny shoebox and our current 26 footer. For the past two years we’ve opted to stay in what’s called a Kamping Kabin. I shared photos of the inside of a KOA lodge last year. This year I’m going to share a few photos of what the actual area the lodge sits on looks like.

There’s a general store that carries some basic groceries and supplies. This is also where you check in and out. Underneath this building is the indoor inground pool and the whirlpool.

There are only a couple of lodges at present. They sit in one area along a treeline.

From our lodge we can see a nice sized piece of one portion of the campground.

The driveway area for the lodges has a very pretty pond with a little fountain and lots of colorful flowers.

There have been many years where we arrived at the campground to discover a new upgrade had been made. One constant is the appearance. As always has been my experience, the grounds of the campground are very clean and kept up well.
