I love a fun challenge, and finding ways to use products we haven’t tried before along with products we use all of the time. An opportunity to work with Joan Of Arc Goat Cheese arose that I had to accept. I decided to challenge myself to come up with two or three recipes, each using a different variety.
Joan of Arc® Goat Cheeses are available in 4 oz. logs in six (6) flavor varieties:
- Traditional Goat Cheese
- Goat Cheese with Cranberry & Cinnamon
- Goat Cheese with Fig
- Goat Cheese with Garlic & Herb
- Goat Cheese with Peppadew™
- Goat Cheese Log with Sun-dried Tomato & Basil
For this recipe, I decided to use the Goat Cheese with Garlic & Herb. I’ve never cooked with goat cheese prior to this past week. The texture and taste are completely different in comparison to the cheeses I typically use. Hubby felt cooking with goat cheese gave the food an almost Greek flavor and reminded him of a feta cheese. really enjoyed the finished dish. He said the goat cheese had a different flavor than he was used to. In this recipe for the Turkey, spinach & Goat Cheese Roll, the tangy flavor of the garlic & herb goat cheese really livening up the turkey and complementing the spinach.
Here’s how I made it.
Easy Turkey, Spinach And Goat Cheese Roll
INGREDIENTS
- 6 oz baby spinach
- 8 oz tin Pillsbury whole dough sheet
- 8 slices turkey breast
- 4 oz Joan of Arc Garlic & Herb goat cheese
- garlic powder
- onion powder
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 400 f.
Cook the spinach until warm and wilted, about 3 minutes or so.
Place a piece of parchment paper onto a baking pan.
Unroll the dough sheet and spread it out on the parchment paper.
About 1 inch away from the edge on top, place a layer of 4 slices of turkey.
Place another layer of 4 slices of turkey on top of the first.
Distribute the spinach evenly across one section of the turkey, in a straight line.
Cut the goat cheese into small slices, cubes, or just chunks.
Distribute the goat cheese evenly across the top of the spinach.

Holding the dough from the two top corners, fold the dough over to you and keep going until you have one big roll.
Gently pat or pinch the seam where the two ends meet.
Gently pinch the two ends closed.
Sprinkle a little garlic powder and onion powder across the dough.
Bake for 15 minutes.

I don't buy it often as the kids aren't quite fans of goat cheese. But boy do I love it!

I can't say that I'm a huge fan of goat cheese, but I will have some occasionally. I've never seen this brand at my local store though.
