How do you find the best deals during the holiday season? I have no problem admitting that I do most of my holiday shopping online. There’s a number of reasons for that, and here are my top three.

First and foremost, it’s the easiest way to shop. I don’t have to get up at some crazy hour to go stand in the cold and wait in a long line just for the privilege of fighting a mob to get to certain items in certain parts of a store. Or worse yet, to wait on line, get into the store and discover that there were only three of what you wanted and they’re gone. Just grab a cup of coffee while the computer is booting up and click away.

Second, I can be comfy. If I go out I have to dress and look presentable. You know how it is. If you leave the house looking like a mess it’s just about guaranteed that you’ll run into someone that you don’t want to see you when you’re looking less then your best. You know I’m right, it never fails. I’d never go to the mall looking like I do in that picture above. I never leave the house wearing lasses, only my contact lenses. Actually, I think this is the first time I’ve put a picture of myself online wearing glasses. (I hate how I look in glasses.)

Third. You can save a lot of money by shopping online, including at some of the Cyber Monday Sales. There are plenty of great sales and great coupons available, you don’t necessarily have to cut coupons from the newspaper and leave the house. And here’s something many people don’t think about. By shopping online you save money over and above whatever the price savings is. You save money by not giving up your time. You know that phrase “time is money”? It’s true. And, you aren’t spending your money using up the gas in your car and piling on wear, tear and mileage. All of that is some more savings too.
