As a member of the Kia Social Club, I occasionally receive information on the brand and their cars. Today, Kia shared a short video with me that not only got me thinking, but it also brought me down memory lane.
The video is called “Evolution of the Modern Car.” The video is a trip down memory lane from 1880 to the cars of today. Check it out.
I was surprised to learn about the gas gauge, I guess I took it for granted that there always has been one. How in the world would you know how much gas you had left without one?!

I take air conditioning for granted. The air went out in my car just a couple of weeks ago. Luckily, it's cooling down already and I have a few months to get it fixed.

Post WWII I remember getting a ride in a car with a rumble seat. I also remember the original trunks--just what they were mounted in the rear.

I take everything for granted. I don't really think about the way things were before modern cars! I love my heater too.

I'm surprised that there wasn't always a gas gauge too! I guess that makes sense in a way, but how did people figure out how much gas they had left in the old days?
