The Clocks Should Be Changed On A Friday

We'd love it if you shared it!

Less Sleep Clock Ahead

I am not a fan of the whole Daylight Savings Time thing, particularly the springtime clock change. It isn’t so much that I mind moving the clock ahead. It’s when they do it that bugs me. If you change your clock late Saturday night, you lose your hour of sleep and then on the following night Sunday your body still thinks it’s an hour earlier. It wreaks havoc with the body schedules of school children and adults alike. At this moment in time my 11 year old is laying in bed not even close to being asleep. It’s 10:30. Now he’ll be tired tomorrow morning. If the government is going to continue with Daylight Savings Time, why not move it to a Friday night, so there are two days to adjust. What do you think?

I remember oopsing one fall and getting someplace a full hour plus early.

I absolutely positively HATE spring forward. My almost 4 year old didn't get to sleep until after 10 & I didn't get to sleep till after 11! Then I have to get up at 6 which feels like 5. I grew up in Indiana where the time didn't change, so I seriously abhor the whole thing! :)

I LOVE having it light outside later! :) Bedtime didn't go so badly at our house last night. Isabella was still in bed at the "new 8" and Evan was kind of close to 9.
