If you have a little one at home chances are you are familiar with Sofia the First. Once a normal girl living in a village until her mom married a King. She then moved into the castle and had to learn how to be a princess. Being a princess is much more than being royalty. Sofia learns a princess is kind and caring. Once Sofia became princess, the king gave her a special amulet- the Amulet of Avalor. He instructed her that it is to never leave her, and it also gives Sofia the magical power to talk to the animals.

I invited my little one who LOVES Sofia to watch this with me.(or fi-fi as he calls her!) He informed me that he had already seen The Curse of Princess Ivy, but would be happy to watch again with me!(told you he LOVES her) Disney premiered The Curse of Princess Ivy back in November. After Amber steals the amulet from Sofia, it unleashes the curse of Princess Ivy. Princess Ivy turns the kingdom black and white. Rapunzel (Mandy Moore) makes a guest appearance to help the girls! Even after Amber returns the amulet to Sofia, she learns it did not break the curse. She must put another persons needs before her own in order for the curse to be broken.

The DVD also comes with a color change butterfly necklace! It is black and white just like Princess Ivy’s butterflies, and changes colors in the sun. For all you Sofia fans out there, be sure to pick up The Curse of Princess Ivy when it hits shelves on February 24th.
