Recently I had the opportunity to get a Senseo Coffee Machine for free, all I had to do was pay for sipping. I thought that was a great deal so I took it.
The Senseo HD7810/65 coffee machine is a single serve coffee machine. It doesn’t take loose coffee or K-cups, it takes pods.
One bag of pods contains 18 pods.
There are a number of varieties of pods available including Mild Roast, Medium Roast, Dark Roast, Decaffeinated, Cappuccino, Sumatra Blend, Paris, and Killarney.
The machine is pretty simple. There is a power button and two coffee buttons, one for a 4 ounce cup and one for an 8 ounce cup.
Up top there is an area where you place a tray that will hold your coffee pod. There are two size trays – a tray that holds one pod and a tray that holds two pods. One pod will make a 4 ounce cup of coffee and two pods will make an 8 ounce cup of coffee.
The Senseo Coffee machine is very easy to use. No assembly is required. To make a cup of coffee first you put water into the removable water reservoir.
Then you turn the machine on.
Next you put pods into the holder.
You close the top of the machine and put a cup under the spout and press the button to make your coffee.
I love the idea of a single serve coffee machine, a machine that only makes one cup at a time. The coffee is very tasty and hot. It comes out a light layer of foam on top. I like that the machine has an automatic shut-off feature, to save energy. I do wish the reservoir was a little larger so I wouldn’t have to fill it as frequently when making multiple cups of coffee. But, the plus side of this is that the water is more fresh this way. I’m very pleased with the machine and the coffee it makes.
