I love stuffed animals. When offered the opportunity to check out Webkinz Jr I just couldn’t resist.
ABOUT WEBKINZ JR
Webkinz Jr. pets are lovable plush animals that each come with a unique Pet Code. Webkinz Jr. is a website that encourages children aged 3-6 to imagine, explore, and learn. With a host of friendly characters, and a neighborhood full of familiar places, Webkinz Jr. is the perfect place for a kid to play!
MY THOUGHTS
I received the Webkinz Jr Purple Monkey. It is one of THE softest and cuddliest stuffed animals I have ever had or felt. The stuffed animals, made by Ganz, come with a code that gives you a membership to the Webkinz Jr site for a year. The Webkinz Jr site is home to an online game that is geared for children ages 3 to 6. There is no software to purchase as the game is web based. The site is very friendly and easy to use. No reading is required. Children’s pets have a home with lots of rooms. The home is in a neighborhood with the Acorn Academy school where they learn, a Park where they can play and a Caring Center where pets go if they’re not feeling well. A store is also there where virtual money can be used to purchase items for your pet such as clothing and toys. There’s a parents only area where you can register pets, as well as set the level your child plays at and review your child’s progress. Your membership can be upgraded to the Deluxe membership for a fee, which gives you access to more games and exclusive activities.
The Webkinz Jr site has won numerous awards, including:
- the Canadian Toy Testing Council’s (CTTC) coveted Best Bet Award for 2010. The CTTC Best Bet Award is reserved for toys that surpass all of the Council’s demanding testing criteria in design, function, durability, safety and most importantly, play value.
