MY THOUGHTS

I received a copy of The Juicing Bible. I haven’t done any real juicing but love the idea and have been wanting to try it for some time. Chapters include

  • Healthy Body Systems
  • Health Conditions
  • Healthy Foods
  • The Recipes (made up of Fruit and Vegetable Juices, Juices for Healthy Bodies, Roughies and Smoothies, Specialty Drinks, and Frozen Treats)

The beginning of the book contains a nice introduction to juicing and some of its benefits. I then has a lengthy section on health conditions and tips to managing a diet while living with those conditions. The next section contains information about different ingredients found in the juice recipes, as well as pages where you can find those recipes. Finally there are the recipes. They are easy to understand. Be aware, before you start a recipe you’ll want to check the ingredients carefully, there are a lot of herbs and other ingredients that you might not have (some I’d never even heard of). The recipes are easy to understand. Sadly, the book contains no pictures, something that brightens up otherwise endless black and white text, and also something that makes me want to try a recipe. This book would be good for anyone interested in eating a healthier diet and/or juicing.
