Tastefully Simple Chocolate Pound Cake Ingredients

I made this cake myself, using the Tastefully Simple Classy Chocolate Pound Cake Mix. From start to finish it took one hour and five minutes. It was moist and tasty. Very chocolatey, sort of a bittersweet chocolate flavor. It would be most excellent with whipped cream on it. Or cherries, if you’re into a chocolate cherry flavor. Or dressed up with goodies like caramel, chocolate chips and candy bars.

TASTEFULLY SIMPLE FIESTA MENU

  • Giddyup Guacamole with Blue Aztec Chips
  • Southwest Pasta Salad
  • Grilled Steaks
  • Mexican Chocolate Cake

Giddyup Guacamole with Blue Aztec Chips

  • 1 cup prepared Giddyup Guacamole
  • 3 Tbsp. water
  • 2-3 ripe avocados
  • 1 bag Blue Aztec Chips

Add first three ingredients, stir to blend. Serve with chips. Each packet makes about 1½ cups guacamole.

Southwest Pasta Salad

  • 1 Tbsp. Simply Southwest Seasoning & Rub, or more to taste
  • 2 cups chopped tomatoes or 14.5 oz. can dice tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. Roasted Garlic Infused Oil
  • 8 oz. bowtie pasta, prepared and cooled
  • 15 oz. can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
  • 6-8 oz. block Cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 1 cucumber, peeled and diced
  • ½ cup sliced black olives
  • Sour cream
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Combine first 3 ingredients; stir to blend. Let stand while preparing the rest of the salad. Place next 5 ingredients in a large bowl; add tomato mixture. Toss to blend; refrigerate until served. Garnish with sour cream and cilantro. Makes 8 – 10 servings.

Grilled Steaks

4 Tbsp. Simply Southwest Seasoning & Rub

4 medium-sized steaks

Rub 1 medium-sized steak with 1 Tbsp. Simply Southwest Seasoning & Rub and grill to perfection!

Mexican Chocolate Cake

  • 1 Classy Chocolate Pound Cake Mix
  • ¾ cup (1 1.2 sticks) melted butter
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1-1 ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1-2 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1-3 Whipped cream or ice cream

Combine first 5 ingredients; stir to blend. Pour batter into greased 9-inch round cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean; cool. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream. Makes 8-9 servings.

recipe sounds yummy, i was thinking of using the recipe, but turn it into an ice cream cake.. slice of vanilla ice cream, between slices of the cake. You can’t have a cookout without the Bacon Bacon or the Fiesta Dips! those are our favorites. I have tried any of the beverages yet, next party I attend, I am going to pick up a few. Thanks for sharing.
