Launched in 1999, our mission remains to make gift giving for every occasion easy and fun.
The name RedEnvelope comes from a firmly held belief in Asian cultures that the color red is an auspicious symbol of happiness. Gifts are often presented in a simple red envelope – a timeless tradition that carries with it well wishes of prosperity, good fortune, appreciation and love.
From tokens of gratitude to expressions of love, as your partner in giving, RedEnvelope offers a unique and wide-ranging collection of thoughtful gifts for every occasion and everyone on your list — around the clock, all year round.
We only select quality products — many of which are exclusive to RedEnvelope — that are unusual, surprising and beautifully designed to ensure the gifts you give create a special moment when they are opened — whether it’s a knowing smile, heartfelt laughter, or a sentimental tear or two.
RedEnvelope is part of the Provide Commerce portfolio of high-quality gifting brands. Other Provide Commerce holdings include Proflowers, Cherry Moon Farms, Secret Spoon and Shari’s Berries.

I received a gift certificate to use to shop at RedEnvelope.  I did some Mother’s Day shopping. I have shopped on their site before and just like each of the previous times, I was probably browsing for a good two hours before I made up my mind on what I was buying. RedEnvelope offers lots of great gift ideas, including a good number of products that can be personalized. Here were are two of my favorite items.
The first thing that caught my eye is a Personalized Photo Tote. It’s currently available in black and red, and is on sale for $29.99 right now. I love taking pictures and think this is a neat way to show them off to the world.
RedEnvelope Mothers Day review - Photo tote
The bag is nicely made. The cotton canvas material feels like quality, strong material, it isn’t flimsy at all. There are two straps, and they’re thick and also feel very sturdy. I like the length of the leather straps on this bag, for me it’s a great length in that rests on my shoulder and hangs down at a good length for me. There are three round frames where you can put 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ photos. I like that you can change any or all of the pictures at any time you like. The bag is generously sized at 15″ x 7 1/4″ x 12 1/2″ high, which is great because I like a large bag. There’s a zippered pocket on the inside. The tote looks exactly like it does in the picture, and the quality of the bag is actually better than I expected. The bag can be personalized with up to ten characters; I ordered mine with my name on it. The personalization is very nicely done, it’s embroidered and has a clean look.
Another item that caught my eye was a Family Necklace.
RedEnvelope Mothers Day review - Family Necklace
This necklace is very pretty. The pendant measures about 5/8″ x 7/8″ high and is made of sterling silver. The pendant design represents family. There are two adults or parents depicted in the upper half. In the bottom half you choose how many children to have depicted, one, two or three. The parents and childrens hands are joined to form a heart, which I thought was a lovely way of signifying family and unity. The necklace comes with a 20 inch long snake chain. The necklace is made in the USA. This necklace would make a perfect Mothers Day gift, for any of the moms in your life (wife, sister, mother, grandmother, etc). The only thing I would like to see offered differently for this piece is the ability to have a different size chain, a 20 inch chain may not be the best length for some. The Family Necklace retails for $49.95 to $59.95, depending on how many kids you select.
RedEnvelope has many items that would make great Mother’s Day gifts including home decor, entertainment, travel, apparel, accessories, jewelry, baby, gadgets and much, much more. There’s something to suit every taste and a wide range of pricing to suit every budget. There’s still time to shop for Mothers Day gifts and have delivery before next weekend!

I did pay a portion of the total order out of my own pocket because I couldn’t restrain myself when shopping.
