I’ve been overweight and happy for years. I recently realized I’m not happy with myself anymore and that my weight is starting to effect my body. I’ve made some decisions and hope that if all goes well by this time next year I’ll be thinner and healthier.
Over the years I’ve looked into numerous programs. Some required that you go to their meetings. Some required that you buy their expensive food. None really taught you how to eat correctly. The Weight Watchers program has come a long way over the years, and has evolved into a program you can do from your home buying regular food. They’ve recently added items that will thrill their internet savvy users.
The Weight Watchers Snack Widget. This tool can be used online as a widget or be downloaded onto your desktop. If you type in the name of the food or snack you’re in the mood for you’ll be offered a couple of sensible alternatives. I tried the widget and it worked pretty well. There were a couple of times it found no results, once when I entered mashed potatoes and once when I entered rice. Now I realize nothing quite replaces mashed potatoes or rice but I would think the widget would be most effective if it offered some alternative rather than none. There were other times where the widget’s suggestion did its job by offering something healthy but it wasn’t even close to what I typed in.
The Weight Watchers Supermarket Foods Facebook page. This is where fans will get the latest news and information about the Weight Watchers foods available in the supermarket, as well as have the opportunity to learn about upcoming products, watch videos, get free recipes and participate in polls.
