I was in the grocery store and sighted a new Poptart flavor. Because I love real strawberry cheese danishes I absolutely had to try them. This is a review of the Strawberry Cheese Danish Poptart.

The upper left picture is of the package as it appears on the store shelf. One box is 14.1 ounces. According to the box one Poptart is one serving, and each serving is 200 calories. There are four packages containing two Poptarts each in the box. One Poptart is smaller than the size of the front of the box. The upper right picture is of one Poptart on top of the box.

Kelloggs website proclaims the Stawberry Cheese Danish Poptart has strawberry and cheese stripped filling, graham crust and string icing. I tried the first Poptart in the package right out of the wrapper. I don’t really care for unwarmed Poptarts and this flavor was no exception for me. I warmed the second one in the microwave for ten seconds and it had improved greatly. I didn’t think the crust tasted like graham at all. There is a definite strawberry jelly flavor there but it overwhelms what in theory is the cheese flavor. I felt it tasted very much like the strawberry flavor Poptart.
The lower left picture is of a half of a Poptart held sideways so you can see the filling inside it. I think the filling is a little on the sparse side. I’d like to see them add a little more to it and let more of a cheese flavor come through. Because that picture isn’t the greatest I’ve included a picture of the back of the box on the lower right, containing an illustration of what the Poptart looks like.

I recommend these if you like the strawberry Poptarts. If you’re looking for the flavor of a danish you’ll need to look elsewhere. One box of Strawberry Cheese Danish Poptarts costs approximately $1.99 to $3.29 depending on where you buy them and if they are on sale. They can be bought in most food stores, Walgreens, Walmart and certain online stores. If you decide to buy them, let me know what you think of them.
